Billy and I had a ton of fireworks to share (due to the 4th firework fire) and decided to invite his family over for dinner games and fireworks. Billy made chicken Parmesan and pasta and is family brought drinks garlic bread and pasta salad. We also invited David (who is getting baptized on Sat) and my friend Nancey from convergys and they intern brought some friend and family making the grand total for the evening about 20 plus kids.

Unfortunately, as fate would have it our swamp cooler decided to die about four hours before our get together. :( Everyone was so hot and having the oven on to make the chicken didn't help. I was so relived to find that billy's family had brought some games outdoor games. The moment everyone was done eating we took the party out side which was getting cooler by the second. (Billy and I were relived to find the phone's signal for the mortuary phone reached out to the patch of grass.) After picking up some more friends who we found were doing nothing we started the firework.
That was just a blast. I never had lit any fireworks but sparklers before and about half way through while Boo was lighting our fireworks, I realized that they were my fireworks as well and had a blast lighting some too. (I still think sparklers are a bit more fun.)
Overall I would say our party was a big success and hopefully one that will be repeated in the future.

It sounds like you had a lot of fun. You will have to throw more parties. We missed out on the fireworks this year except for the fire at Lake Powell. We went to Bear Lake for the 24th, but we did get to see Lagoon's off in the distance as we were driving home.
I left a comment a long time ago, so I am waiting for another blog entry!
