An Update At Last

sorry for the delay, I guess more has been going on and it has just taking me a bit to get around to writing it all out. First news is I revived a new calling as the second councelor in the primary. This only replaced the coirister in the RS and did not effect my other two callings. Second, I started another job two weeks ago. I'm working at a girls residentail treatment center during swing shift. I still have the mourtuary job and the TA job at the elemntary school. I enjoyed the break I had for a bit but then started to get board only working 3 hours a day. Getting this other job has really helped with some of the boardom and the extra cash will be nice.
Billy is doing well in school and is loving his major. hopefully with this new job he will be able to study a bit more without me distracting him. :D all in all things are well. Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes last week.

Kide logic

So I think that it is so much fun to be around kids. Their logic never ceases to amaze me. And when they think they are going to get in trouble or are in trouble it gets even more scattered. So I thought I would share with you some of the funny quotes from school yesterday.

"I'm nice because I've had a hard life. My house burnt down, that's why I'm nice."
-Boy holding the water down for the drinking fountain for other students.

When asked why he was throwing pencils:
"I was just trying to get the pencils in my desk."
-Boy that hit the teacher with a pencil

"I didn't see him. i was just walking and my foot hit him. I was just kicking the cone. I didn't kick him."
- Boy who I caught outright kicking another boy. There wasn't even a cone around.

"Can I just do this side of the work sheet and then go home?"
-Boy not wanting to do his work. How he ever thought that there could be any possible answer of yes is beyond me.

Things down this way are going great. I'm super excited to go up north this next weekend. First to be with my family, and seconed to go to my mission reunion. Billy survied all of his tests that he had and we are off tonight which just makes us both happy. :)

A much needed update

Sorry it has taken a while to update, there really isn't a reason other then I haven't. New news in our corner... I finally got a job, and I love it. I am a TA at an elementary school down here helping a boy in 3rd grade. It's right up my ally and has really got me thinking about getting my teaching degree. I still don't think I want to be the main teacher for baby sitting reasons but it's neat to see what other options it opens up.

It really is a blast from the past I feel like I'm back in elementary school. It's funny to see the kids with slap braclets and pokemon. One of the other TA said that shebaas just waiting for pogs to come back. I remeber this stuff getting ban from school. It's still a blast.

Billy started back at school this semester. He is in the middle of his first test wave. When he is not at school the mortuary ttys to keep him busy.

Sing Your Heart out

If any of you find yourself on the Activities commity for your ward or church I highly recommend putting together a ward Karioke night. There is nothing better then seeing your bishop and all other repectful members of your church get up and sing to thier hearts content on or off key.

Below we have a picture of our Bishop, the plan was to make him go first. (evil smile) However, we had some great memebers get up and sing before our bishop got a chance. It got in to the spirit and turned his had around for whatever number he did.

And yes, even I got up (although never alone). All it takes to give the women in the ward the courage to get up and sing is a great song ("Did I shave my legs for this") and a larg group.

Now that you've seen the pictur I want you to notice somthing. I'm holding the mic. See one of the great things about owning the Karioke machine is I knew which mic wasn't working. :D

What you see below is the mirical of our relife socitey standing up to sing. This just goes to show if anyone sticks around long enough they will want to join in the fun.

Billy couldn't wait to get get up. He dicided that since he was running it he could just jump in whenever. ;)

Now the bishop use to own a resterant, and unknow to us they use to have a karyoke night. He said he found that people for some reason are more willing to make a fool of themselves as long as they had a silly wig. So to liven the night up he came prepaired with four silly wigs. This really helped our young men get up there and even air gutair it a few times.

You didn't think I would leave off a picture of Billy wereing the wig did you.;)

Over all it was a fantastic night we finally just had to call it quites when it was ten. Now if a Karyoke night doesn't sound fun to you then it's simply because you won't get up. Get a funny wig and then try it again, it's sure to bring the sillyness out in you.

The Hunt

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but job hunting really takes a toll on one's self esteem. I mean you put the best things about you and your greatest accomplishments on paper for some one to completely disregard and reject you. Rejection in and of it's self is harsh enough with out the hummilliation of not being told you were rejected.
Now I know that most jobs are not even posted befor they are filled, even those that are posted are filled by people the employer knows. But all I'm asking for is a chance.
Now that I have properly introduced the subject for those of you who haven't heard I am job hunting. What happened to convergys only those who haven't lived in cedar may ask. Just this, even the most desperat of people don't last long there. The pay may be high enough to trick some into selling there souls. But many see that they are dying inside and leave befor it's too late.
Other then the job hunt things are going great. Billy is still picking up bodies when he gets a call. And all except his last pick up where the guy blew his brains out, have been ok. Some details I could live with out. But then I just wonder too much not to ask.
